Song Sunday – Life Is Crazy

On Sundays we’ll feature song montages, at least when we get around to it.

This one is from Wake Up Sid, a 2009 movie which stars Ranbir Kapoor and Konkona Sen Sharma. We’ll review it eventually, but for now know that we highly recommend it (especially to people new to Hindi films).

The song, Life Is Crazy was composed by the team Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, and sung by Uday Benegal and Shankar Mahadevan. Unfortunately, it’s not currently available for download online.

Wow. That was different. And fun. I don’t think I’ve ever seen painting done in such a lighthearted, slosh it around way.

So I wonder if Netflix has this?

It does indeed– and on instant watch, too.

It’s not a really deep, moving movie, and there are some questionable bits (and it is so hard to judge what’s really questionable and what’s just cultural when watching foreign films) but it’s a good way to start getting into Bollywood; since it’s much more American in style.

I enjoyed that! The spendthrift guy and his girl are funny. But I must say, I was studying at the yummy decor much more! ;)

The apartment looks awesome… Sarah and I agreed that that’s how we would decorate if we lived in an apartment. And she keeps adding to it throughout the rest of the movie; it’s really a treat on the eyes!
